This Privacy Policy describes how Calma (Disscover) (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: email address, display name, username/handle, bio, profile avatar, and authentication identifiers (including Sign in with Apple tokens processed through our auth provider).
User-generated content: moments (photos/videos), comments, live stream and chat room messages, direct messages, feedback submissions, and virtual gift activity.
Social graph data: followers, following relationships, blocks, reports, and interaction history needed to operate social features.
Usage & device data: app version, device type, general diagnostic logs, crash information, and interaction events required to maintain performance and security.
Purchase data: gem purchase records and Apple transaction identifiers. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers — payments are processed by Apple.
Media uploads: images, videos, and audio you choose to upload are stored on our cloud storage infrastructure (Supabase Storage).
2. How We Use Information
- Provide and operate app features: profiles, live rooms, chat rooms, moments, messaging, gifts, and notifications.
- Authenticate users and maintain account security.
- Process virtual currency and gift transactions.
- Enforce community guidelines through reporting, blocking, and moderation tools.
- Improve reliability, fix bugs, and analyze aggregated usage patterns.
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- Other users when you publish public profile information, moments, or participate in live/chat rooms.
- Service providers such as Supabase (database, authentication, storage, realtime), Apple (Sign in with Apple, In-App Purchase), and infrastructure partners under contractual obligations.
- Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of users and the public.
We do not sell your personal information to third-party advertisers.
4. Data Retention
We retain account and content data while your account is active. When you delete content or your account, we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
5. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and row-level security policies on our backend. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
6. Your Choices & Rights
- Update profile information in Edit Profile.
- Manage followers, blocks, and privacy-related settings in Settings.
- Submit feedback or privacy requests via in-app Feedback or our Support page.
- Request account deletion from Settings (subject to verification).
- Depending on your region (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal data — contact us to exercise these rights.
7. Children's Privacy
Calma is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. We take steps designed to protect data in accordance with applicable law when transferred internationally.
9. Third-Party Links
The App may contain links to third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
